Drug Testing


Lane County Hospital is committed to providing a safe, efficient, and productive work environment for all employees. To help ensure a safe and healthful working environment, each applicant to whom an offer of employment has been made will be required as a condition of employment to undergo a substance test. Applicants will be asked to read the policy and sign a Pre-Employment Offer and Employee Consent to Drug Screening.

Drug and Alcohol Policy Statement


It is Lane County Hospital's desire to provide a drug-free, healthful, and safe workplace. To promote this goal, Associates are required to report to work in an appropriate mental and physical condition to perform their jobs in a satisfactory manner. Lane County Hospital is committed to providing safe and efficient care to those we serve as well as an appropriate work environment for our staff. That commitment is compromised when Associates use alcohol or illegal drugs on the job, come to work under the influence, possess, distribute or sell drugs in the work place or while on Lane County Hospital business offsite.

To help ensure the safety of patients, residents, staff and visitors, Lane County Hospital implements a policy of drug and alcohol testing to determine possible use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or the misuse of prescribed medication. It is the intent of this policy to designate safety as a primary concern of Lane County Hospital. It is further intended to convey the distinct message that use of alcohol, illegal drugs or the misuse of prescribed medication is not permitted and will result in discipline up to and including termination of employment.

Drug testing is done based on the following conditions

Pre-employment/condition of employment

Reasonable suspicion/post-accident

Regularly scheduled

Random testing

Post rehabilitation

Arrest/conviction for drug or alcohol related offenses

Openings


If an open position is not currently available, we will maintain your application for six months and consider it for future openings.
